Breeding Philosophy of the DZRR

The club acknowledges itself as a purebred dog breeder’s club, operating within the capacity of the rules and regulations laid down by the VDH (the National Breeders’ Association in Germany). 

Our objective is the pure breeding of Rhodesian Ridgebacks under the guidelines of the F.C.I. (the International Breeders’ Association) set standard no. 146. Accordingly, the association promotes all aspirations which serve to fulfill this purpose.

The basis for this is the preservation and consolidation of this dog breed in its breed unity, its nature, its constitution and its perfect appearance.
